Stort Chemicals Ltd. is an independent distributor of speciality chemical raw materials for the U.K. formulation industry. We were founded in 1981 and have grown steadily since then, regularly adding suppliers and product lines to our portfolio of raw materials. We use third-party warehouses near Rugby in the geographical centre of the United Kingdom and a second at Wakefield on the M62 corridor.

On November 2nd., 2006, Stort Chemicals Ltd. acquired the assets & business of TEMPLAR CHEMICALS LTD., a well-established distributor to the coatings industry. This acquisition has added a number of additional product-lines to our portfolio of speciality raw materials and we are confident will prove to be positive move for us and our customers, old & new.
Our policy is to work with suppliers of speciality raw materials on an exclusive basis. Our success is built on our ability to add value to our customer's processes with our technical expertise.
We are a 100%-owned family company and can offer a flexible, customer-orientated and fast service to any manufacturer based in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
